Overview
RHM’s practice Corporate Restructuring, Reorganization and Creditor Rights lawyers have vast experience in advising clients in complex out of court workouts and restructuring, large corporate chapter 11 reorganizations, representing both unsecured and secured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and representing official creditors’ committees. Our lawyers have been involved in some of the largest bankruptcy cases filed in the United States. While known for its chapter 11 bankruptcy expertise, RHM lawyers have also worked with corporations and individuals in debt forgiveness and restructuring outside of the bankruptcy courts.
In the corporate bankruptcy arena, RHM lawyers also represent Chapter 11 Trustees, Plan Trustees and Chapter 7 Trustees. These cases range from small chapter 7 cases to large corporate bankruptcies representing the post-confirmation trustee.
During the course of representing its clients in bankruptcy matters, RHM Corporate Restructuring, Reorganization and Creditor Rights lawyers work closely with the Litigation section to pursue complex litigation such as D&O litigation, fraud and other causes of action.
Corporate Restructuring and Reorganization
RHM has represented many individuals and corporations in out of court debt restructures and debt forgiveness. In this type of representation, our lawyers have negotiated settlements of debt, stand down agreements and many other associated agreements and contracts involving debts of more than $200 million.
The founding members of RHM cut their teeth on corporate debtor chapter 11 bankruptcies. The clients represented by RHM attorneys have included large corporations involved in oil and gas, retail, wholesale, restaurants, plumbing, telecommunications and many other industries with total debts ranging from $15 million to over $2 billion.
RHM also represents all parties involved in chapter 11 bankruptcies including trustees, unsecured creditors, secured creditors, equity and unsecured creditors committees. Our attorneys have represented official creditors committees in oil & gas, retail, wholesale, trucking, construction, thoroughbred horse racing and many other areas of business.
Trustee Representation
Our attorneys have extensive experience in the representation of trustees serving in various capacities and in a multitude of industries. RHM represents Court appointed Chapter 7 trustees, Chapter 11 trustees, Plan trustees and Liquidation and/or Litigation Trust trustees. This representation has included representing a Plan Trustee in one of the largest food brokerage bankruptcy cases filed in the United States along with other areas of business including, trucking, retail and wholesale.
As part of the Trustee representation, RHM’s lawyers are involved in complex litigation such as Directors and Officers litigation, fraudulent transfers, malpractice and other complex lawsuits.
