Kathleen M. Patrick concentrates on bankruptcy, corporate reorganization and out of court workouts. She has represented debtors in possession, chapter 7 and 11 trustees, creditors committees, and individuals in out-of court workouts with respect to a variety of bankruptcy issues, including litigation against former officers and directors. Ms. Patrick is also heavily involved in community and professional activities. Texas Monthly magazine named Ms. Patrick a "Texas Rising Star" in 2007 and 2008 for her work in Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights, a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of Texas attorneys who are under 40 years of age or have been practicing law less than 10 years.

- Representation of creditors committee in complex chapter 11 bankruptcy of racetrack in United States Bankruptcy Court for District of Puerto Rico
- Representation of creditors committee and liquidation trustee in chapter 11 bankruptcy of gray-market supplier of computer and office products
- Representation of debtor in chapter 11 bankruptcy of restaurant chain located in California and Texas
- Representation of chapter 7 trustee in multi-million dollar litigation against directors and officers and creditors of the estate for breach of fiduciary duty, chapter 5 avoidance actions, violations of the automatic stay. Recovered approximately $55 million for creditors of the estate
